City on a Hill Productions and Christian Academy Louisville (CAL) are partnering together to create a new curriculum on the Art and Craft of Filmmaking.

Fundraising and planning has begun to create a new interactive film curriculum. Pending fundraising, our plan is to capture and produce video segments and behind-the-scenes footage from current productions and from the Film Club at CAL. We will collect these video lectures over the next year to include them in the curriculum. Once the interactive curriculum is compiled with written instruction and video segments we will publish it to be used on campus as a two-year course beginning in the Fall of 2013. After the program is piloted, we will launch the curriculum nationwide for high schools and homeschoolers.

In case you can’t already tell, this will not be a shiny-happy-feel-good message.  It will likely be a message that many who have claimed the name of Christ find difficult to hear. But it is, without a doubt, a message that has the power to radically change your perspective and the whole course of your life.  And please believe, this is not the marketing-speak of an enthusistic director…these are words of experience from someone who will never look at his life the same way again.
